Thanks for the reply Ling, and just to clarify i don't say that i thought your site site was rubbish, i was quoting you, from your "worst website ever competition" and blog post.

Personally i'd say i you probably put a lot of work into making the site look like its got all the fun of a site designed by a 5 year old, yet make most of the essential information pretty easy to find, and still getting all of the seo, video and stuff offers in.

I have to say each time i look at the site i find something new which is a bonus, i especially like "camp ling" a very interesting little interface that i've never come across before.

Anyway thanks again for the fascinating talk and for leaving the comment. I wonder if i should add an i've been linged banner to my home page!

David!

Thanks so much for the blog post.

Not quite sure I agree that my site is a "rubbish" one, hahaha, as it has so much more info/traffic/happy users than any other car leasing site.

The difference is (I think) that while all other car and car leasing companies think the business is about cars, I think it is about people (mainly about customers). I simply try to make visitors and customers happy (while providing the very best car deals I can find).

Glad you enjoyed the talk!

Nice post, Mr C. When you round them all up like that, it explains why the NE tech/media/entrepreneur scene feels so exciting and full of promise at the moment. It also explains why, like you, I seem to have met lots of new people and made lots of new friends in the last year!

Here's hoping the events of 2010 are just as inspiring.

All the best for the new year.

Saw it in IMAX 3D at the Odeon, Metrocentre, was the most amazing cinema experience ever, great visuals and very tall screen! Plus the glasses are larger so they don't get in the way so much as the "Real 3D" ones.

I would love to see it again because....I'd be hard-pressed to recall another movie that so fully transported me to a world that doesn't exist. Avatar is one of the most exciting and thrilling moviegoing experiences I've ever had.

Not seen it yet, but I thought the first post on this forum was useful for describing the different types of 3D systems available:

Great blog David, what a great nack you have of rounding the year up and benchmarking the magic moments, especially Byte Night, a bizarre but very worthwhile event! Thanks also for the TellyNet mention, we hope to see them go from strength to strength next year pulling in lots more different and inspirational speakers like Mike Dicks!
Have a lovely Christmas and look forward to catching up in the New Year!
Big hugs
Laura & Julie
