By the time the alarm went off at 4.30, i’d already been awake for hours, my head too full of thoughts for sleep. Thoughts about what we’d achieved and what was still to come. Thoughts of course of Lucinda and … Continue reading

Moving the goal posts
Sadly, I received word today that the 7 tribes race is definitely off. Apparently in order to cover the administrative costs of the race a minimum of 25 people had to sign up by this stage, but as of today … Continue reading
My first newcastle park run
I heard about parkruns a few months ago, but hadn’t had a chance to get to one until this week. They are a weekly 5k run, ran in parks around the Uk. They are free to enter, you simply sign … Continue reading
Mapping the Uk’s fell runs
In 2009 i set about trying to see where the fell runs closed ro me were, in some cases the locations were given by grid ref, others by name, or by longitude and latitude. It was quite difficult to get a picture of this, so i decided to try and covert them all to co-ordinates and map them on google maps, colour coding them by distance and severity.
